Vermont and Ne w Hamphire area?

From: Mark Hofmann (marknbrandy@earthlink.net) | Date: 2004-08-26 23:59:29 UTC-07:00
Hi I am a new letter boxer I am an avid hiker, mixed media artist, that includes stamper but just not carver of stamps( I will be now) I have done a crude flower I am trying for a better one, I am a jack of all trades and I am starting out here in Sedona where I live it is so beautiful and I was sad to see only four sites in the immediate area but my husband and I being hikers and he living here for 24 some odd hears I think we can make Sedona a great place to come letter boxing and the surrouding areas, precott and Flagstaff well all the way up to Utah actually.
in October I will be going to Woodstock, Vermont and I have not checked my bearings very well yet but off hand does anyone know that area and any bigger twonships cities near there that I amy find some letterboxes? I found some great ones but it seems woodstock is more south than North and I din't even see it on a map . Just thought I would ask and wondering if anyone knows a great shorter but beautiful hike that in the two days I am visiting my Mom inlaw I can have her go on a hike with us. I want to turn her on to this as she drives from Boston to Vermont all the time thought it would be fun for her. I am so excited I know we will going through new Hamphire as well but I think the straight shot is best i just am not sure what that is as I have never been there as yet? so hoping to see a little more of that country... Thanks Brandy In the next mont I will be setting new sites in Sedona and surrounding areas as soon as I can carve my crude renditionsLol

I live in Southern Vermont and have done only one in the area so far,
Hip Hop as listed on letterboxing.org

The walk is a bit over a mile, not sure what the others in the area
are like.

Killington has 5 they are short hikes. You might try White River Junction
too. Kent Pond is a a very nice area as well as Gifford Park.

We have a condo in Killington, VT. & went to Busy Beaver & Beaver's Lunch &
Kent Pond very easy. We did not get to James Taylor LB but it is one I'm sure
you would enjoy. We also went to the two @ Quechee Gorge. They are not that
far from Woodstock.
You might plan on planting one in the Woodstock area. Maybe on the trails
near the new National Historic Park, near the Billings Farm Museum. That is a
very easy area but also very interesting particularly the national park- the
house & it's history.
